Apicoectomy
Expand + Collapse –An infected tooth can sometimes be treated with a simple root canal procedure. In some situations, however, the root canal may not completely clear up the infection.
The best option may be to have an apicoectomy, which involves the surgical removal of the infected tip of the tooth root.
Bone Grafting
Expand + Collapse –Tooth loss is often accompanied by the loss of bone support, which can make dental restoration more complicated when there is no bone for anchoring an implant.
Through bone grafting, our oral surgeons can regrow bone where it is most needed, preparing you for replacement of one or more teeth with dental implants.
Oral Pathology
Expand + Collapse –It is common for bumps, patches, and other abnormalities to arise on gum tissue or within the jaw bone. Although most of these conditions are non-cancerous, it is important to have these areas evaluated by an oral surgeon.
Often a biopsy is recommended to remove abnormal tissue and confirm the diagnosis.
Dental Implants
Expand + Collapse –If you are missing a tooth or need to have a tooth removed, your oral surgeon may suggest dental implants for tooth replacement.
Dental implants replace both the root and the crown of your tooth, providing you a long-lasting solution that looks and feels like your natural tooth.
