At Southern Oral & Facial Surgery, your health and safety remain our highest priority. We have always adhered to and exceeded the standards for sterilization and decontamination set by OSHA, and we continue to follow the latest best practices in infection control.

The Measures We Are Taking To Protect Our Patients

  • We are thoughtfully scheduling patient appointments to minimize wait times and reduce the number of individuals in our lobby and office at any given time. Between visits, our team sanitizes all treatment areas thoroughly.
  • High-touch areas—including clipboards, pens, restrooms, and door handles—are disinfected regularly throughout the day. Handwashing stations with antibacterial soap are available in restrooms, treatment rooms, sterilization areas, and staff areas.
  • Our team wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all surgical procedures. While social distancing may not always be possible in a surgical setting, we take every measure to maintain a safe and clean environment. We kindly ask that patients minimize the number of people accompanying them and follow the guidance of our front office staff upon arrival.
  • To promote optimal surgical outcomes, patients may be asked to use a pre-operative mouth rinse as part of our standard protocol.
  • After surgery, patients will be escorted safely to their vehicle while our team prepares the room for the next appointment with thorough sanitization.

How We Are Protecting the Safety of Our Staff & Doctors

  • All team members follow strict PPE protocols. Our surgical staff wear appropriate protective gear including surgical masks, face shields or goggles, gloves, and hair coverings. Front office staff also wear masks as part of our daily procedures.
