At Southern Oral & Facial Surgery, we make every effort to provide you with the finest surgical care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this goal, we work hand in hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. We do our best to give you accurate information about your benefits; however, it is not a guarantee of payment. It is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to understand his or her policy.
We are happy to file all insurances as long as we are provided with the correct information. In cases where the patient has multiple insurances due to a divorce decree, a copy may be required by the office to avoid any confusion or delay of payment from the insurance company. The parent who comes with the patient to the consultation must sign the financial agreement and is the responsible party for the account. We will not bill another parent for their portion.
Most dental insurances have a maximum the patient may use in a calendar year. We verify benefits the day of the consultation; if you have used some of your benefits in another office, that information may not yet be reflected in the benefits we verify that day. Some policies may require a dependent to be a full-time student. It is very important that your insurance has your updated address information.
